Launching a new blog is much like launching a magazine a few years ago — many of them start with a lot of promise, but most of them fail after a couple of editions.

I intend to publish semi-regularly and share my thoughts on a variety of interests, but will devote a particular focus to the art of dressing and my personal style.

There are a lot of men’s fashion and style blogs out there and this doesn’t intend to compete with them.

I’m not a clothing designer nor a stylist. I’m simply a discriminating and extremely prudent shopper, who is willing to wait for what he wants instead of simply picking something up because it’s on sale.

When I come across something that appeals to me and seems like a worthy investment, I’ll let you know through Despatches from a Gentleman.

My interests don’t just include clothes.

I’ll also be sharing my thoughts on other subjects from time-to-time, so don’t forget to come back every now and again to see what I’m writing about.
